Make Your Prom To-Do List Shorter And More Manageable With Custom Nail Solutions

Prom is almost here and if you’re one of the many lovely ladies planning on attending, you probably have a to-do list that extends for miles. Going prom-dress shopping, coordinating dinner plans with your date (or your fabulous girlfriends!), scheduling a hair appointment…not to mention the need to get your nails primped and fancy for the big dance! Why not get your nails taken care of well in advance, rather than frantically rush to a salon days or, even worse, hours before the limo arrives?

Thankfully, you and all the other prom-goers out there can cross “Get Nails Done” off your to-do lists weeks in advance, thanks to Custom Nail Solutions’ artificial nail kits. The kits give you beautiful, natural-looking, non-chipping, and everlasting custom-fit nails that will look fab on prom night. The nails are custom-fit from personal impressions, using dental putty, taken from your individual nail beds that are as unique as a fingerprint. They will fit no one in the world but you! You can fully customize your nails by choosing from two smile lines, 5 nail lengths, and three shapes.

Custom Nail Solutions are also a much healthier alternative to salon-made acrylic and gel nails, as they can be applied in the comfort of your own room. You won’t have to enter a nail salon and breathe in all the harmful chemicals and fumes floating around. The custom-fit nails are also antibacterial and antimicrobial, and they don’t require any harsh grindings and fillings like acrylics do. Aside from these fab benefits, Custom Nail Solutions’ nails have UV light protection, so they prevent the annoying and frustrating yellowing of nails that comes along with salon-made acrylics.

You can also decorate your custom-fit nails with an elegant and dazzling prom mani! Jazz up your nails for the big dance with any color or brand nail polish, nail wraps, nail jewels, etc. If you’re planning on doing a fancy and sophisticated bejeweled mani, the custom-fit nails provide the perfect canvas! Just order the kits in advance, take the impressions, and send them to the Custom Nail Solutions headquarters. You will receive your nails approximately within one week!

A Custom Nail Solutions kit will make your prom to-do list more manageable and ensure that your nails are ready to turn heads at the big dance! Available for $139.95 at www.customnailsolutions.com.

Top 5 Spring 2013 Nail Trends

(Pictured: Diagonal “Pop of Color” Nail Design, 80's Fun Mani, and Nice Neutral Nails. Images courtesy of Nail Model Diane Moran Graham.)

Spring has finally sprung and pops of color are emerging everywhere. Flowers and trees have started their new cycle with bursts of vibrant, colorful buds. These hues of pink, yellow, orange, lavender, green, and white are not only showing up in nature. They’re also one of the hottest nail trends for Spring 2013.

There are so many fun and fabulous ways to decorate your nails for the Spring 2013 season! We've compiled the quick list below to make the decision process easier for you:

1. Diagonal “Pop of Color” Nail Design: To do this fun design, first choose a polish in a vibrant color like neon pink or electric orange. Stick a piece of tape diagonally across each of your nails. Paint the tips with the vibrant polish, then remove the tape while the polish is still wet. After the tips dry, add a clear topcoat to each nail. The tips will all have vibrant diagonal tips that will help you steal the spotlight wherever you go!

2. 80’s Fun Mani: Fashions of past decades always make their way back into popularity, and this is especially true for styles and trends of the eighties. A funky and fresh nail design to try is the 80’s Fun Mani. Paint your nails a dark purple, blue, orange, green, or red, then let dry. Add a stripe of glossy black from the center of the nail tip to the middle of the nail, and add a clear topcoat to complete the look. This funky nail design is the perfect way to add pizazz to your 80’s party attire!

3. Flash of Metallic Mani: Metallic polishes were huge during the fall and winter seasons, and this trend got a whole new look for spring! For this nail design, first paint a coat of colored polish on your nails and let dry. Then add a stripe of metallic copper, silver, or gold polish down each nail, making sure the stripe is in the same place on each nail. Add a clear topcoat and voilà! A fun and unique flash of metallic mani that is sure to turn heads this spring season!

4. Nice Neutral Nails: This spring season, you'll notice clear, white, light grey, and flesh tone polishes on those who prefer the minimalist look. Barely-there nails are perfect for being understated or natural, whether you’re dressing up or dressing down. This look works especially well when you want your outfit do the talking.

5. Accent Nail Design: A trend that debuted a couple years ago and will be seen throughout the summer is painting a complementary design on one nail from each hand. These individual nails may have stripes, diagonals, polka dots, or any number of designs. Accent nail design is a great way to try a combination of color and finishes, without making a huge statement.

Egg-cellent Manicures for Easter

(Nail Designs Shown: Eggshell Nails, Pretty Pastel Water Marble, and Solid Spring Mani. All images courtesy of Nail Model Diane Moran Graham)

Easter is this weekend and are you wondering how to add a little bunny-rific fun to your holiday outfit? Decorate your nails with an egg-tastic Easter nail design! If you're having trouble deciding how to decorate your nails for Easter, don't worry!

We've made the decision easier for you by compiling 5 fantastic nail designs that are perfect for Easter. All of the below holiday manicures will go perfect with your pastel spring dress!

Solid Spring Mani: Jazzing up your nails with a solid coat of either lavender, pale yellow, light pink, pastel green, milk white, or sky blue will ensure that they are ready for the spring! These hues will be very popular this spring, so choose one for everyday wear or mix it up and wear all of these colors, one on each nail.

Eggshell Nails: During the spring season, baby birds emerge from their speckled eggs and start chirping. Celebrate this lovely seasonal occurrence with eggshell-effect nails! Choose a speckled pastel nail polish that features a pale white, pale purple, or pale blue hue dotted with black dots. For an inexpensive and fun eggshell mani, choose a hue from Hard Candy’s Candy Sprinkles Collection.

Egg-cellent Easter Mani: First, paint green “grass” on the tip of the thumb nail and add a little white easter bunny face poking out of the grass and let dry. Then paint the other nails a solid coat of pale pink, baby blue, pale yellow, and lavender, making sure to use a different color for each nail. Let dry, and add Easter egg designs like colorful zig-zags and polka dots on each nail. Add a clear topcoat to complete the look.

Springtime Stamped Mani
Spring flower stamps are a fab and festive way to add pizazz to your Easter mani! Before you do this design, make sure you have lavender polish, dark purple polish, clear topcoat, and a nail stamp kit with a flower stamping plate on hand. We like the Nail Art Stamping Set by Shany Cosmetics. Paint your nails lavender and let dry, then place dark purple polish over the flower design on the stamping plate, and use the nail kit’s scraper to rid the plate of excess polish. While the dark purple polish is still wet, place the stamper over the plate so the flower design transfers, then press the stamper down on the nail. Do this until each nail is adorned with little springtime flowers. Finish the look by adding a clear topcoat to each nail.

Pretty Pastel Water Marble
A pastel water marble manicure is so fun and festive for Easter! To do this intricate and eye-catching design, start off with a cup of room temperature water, a bottle of white polish, a bottle of pale blue polish, a bottle of lavender polish, a bottle of pale pink, a bottle of light orange polish, and a bottle of light green polish, as well as tape and several toothpicks. Place tape around the edge of the first nail, covering the cuticles. Add two drops of blue to the water and let spread, then a drop of white polish in the middle of the blue polish, and add one more drop of blue in the middle of the white. Then, take a toothpick and drag the edges of the polish to the center of the circle. Press your nail into the design, use a toothpick to scrape excess polish away from the edges of the nail, and take the nail out of the water. Then remove the tape and let dry. Use a toothpick to clear the polish from the top of the water, and repeat the process with the rest of the nails, making sure to use a different colored polish for each nail. The end result: a fancy pastel Easter mani that is sure to turn heads at your holiday brunch!

If you were wondering how to add an Easter theme to your nails, the above list should help. The Custom Nail Solutions Nail System provides a perfect canvas for these five egg-cellent nail designs. It is a revolutionary artificial nail product that offers custom nails that uniquely fit only your nail beds, are reusable and chemical-free. They are thinner, stronger, and virtually indestructible. Make Your Nails Your Lucky Charms This St. Patty's Day

(Nail Designs Shown: Spritely Stamped Shamrocks and Lovely Leprechaun Mani. Images Courtesy of Nail Model Diane Moran Graham)

St. Patty’s Day is almost here, and are you wondering how to add a touch of Irish luck to your holiday get-up? Jazzing up your nails up with a festive St. Patty’s Day theme should do the trick! If you’re wondering how to decorate your nails for the Irish holiday, there is no need to fret.

We made the decision process easier by compiling seven lucky deigns that are perfect for all the Irish holiday festivities. The below St. Patty's Day nail themes will help you add pizazz to your holiday get-up and steal the spotlight at all the Irish festivities!

1. Get Lucky Green Mani: When we think of  St. Patty's day we think of green four-leafedleafed clovers and the lush fields of Ireland. Celebrate the holiday’s staple color with a glamorous green mani! Coat your nails with a sparkly green or deep emerald green polish to get lucky and avoid getting pinched on St. Patty’s Day!

2. Lucky Gold Coin Nails: St. Patty's Day evokes images and dreams of finding a pot of gold at the end of a lucky rainbow. Make your nails your little good luck charms and find your pot of gold by painting them with a shiny or shimmery gold nail polish!

3. Irish Ombré Mani: Nothing says “Happy St. Patty’s Day!” like a mani featuring five different shades of green, the holiday’s staple color! For this fun and festive mani, have emerald green, plain green, white, and black nail polish on hand. First, paint a coat of the plain green polish on the pointer finger and let dry. Then mix a drop of the plain green polish with a drop of the white polish and paint a coat of the mixture on the thumb and let dry. For the middle finger, mix a drop of the plain green polish with a drop of the emerald green polish and paint a coat of the mixture on the nail and let dry. Paint a coat of the emerald green polish on the ring finger and let dry. For the pinky finger, mix a drop of the emerald green polish with a drop of the black polish and paint a coat of the mixture on the nail. Repeat these steps with the other hand and add a clear topcoat to complete the look!

4. Spritely Stamped Shamrocks: Jazz up your St. Patty’s Day mani with shamrock nail stamps! Before you do this design, make sure you have pale green polish, emerald green polish, clear topcoat, and a nail stamp kit with a clover stamping plate on hand. We like the stamping plate found at Born Pretty Store. Paint your nails pale green and let dry, then place emerald green polish over the shamrock design on the stamping plate, and use the nail kit’s scraper to rid the plate of excess polish. While the emerald green polish is still wet, place the stamper over the plate so the shamrock design transfers, then press the stamper down on the nail. Do this until each nail is adorned with emerald green shamrocks. Finish the look by adding a clear topcoat to each nail.

5. Charmed Water Marble Clovers:  Water marble manicures look glamorous and fun for all occasions, and this look is perfect for your St. Patty’s Day get-up! To do this intricate and eye-catching design, start off with a cup of room temperature water, a bottle of emerald green polish, a bottle of pale green polish, a bottle of shimmery gold polish, tape, and several toothpicks. Place tape around the edge of the first nail, covering the cuticles. Add two drops of emerald green to the water and let spread, then a drop of pale green polish in the middle of the emerald green polish, and a drop of gold in the middle of the pale green. Then, take a toothpick and drag the top, bottom, and side edges of the polish to the center of the circle, creating a clover design. Press your nail into the clover design, use a toothpick to scrape excess polish away from the edges of the nail, and take the nail out of the water. Then remove the tape and let dry. Use a toothpick to clear the polish from the top of the water, and repeat the process with the rest of the nails. The end result: a fancy St. Patty’s Day man that will steal the spotlight wherever you celebrate!

6. Lovely Leprechaun Mani: St. Patty’s Day isn’t complete without funny and mischievous leprechauns! A mani featuring little leprechaun top hats is perfect for the holiday! For this unique and splendid St. Patty’s Day nail design, paint all of your nails deep emerald green and let dry. Then paint a stripe of black nail polish across the width of each nail and let dry, and use a toothpick to paint a shiny gold square “buckle” in the middle of each black stripe. Let dry, and finish with a topcoat.

7. Irish Accent Nail: We all love the Irish accents of leprechauns (and Liam Neeson!) on St. Patrick’s Day, and an accent-nail mani is the perfect way to show off this special admiration. To do this mani, paint your nails green and let dry, then paint the “accent” ring finger’s nail either a emerald green or gold. For the daring manicurists that want to stand out and look extra fab at the St. Patty’s Day soiree, paint a pot o’ gold at the end of a rainbow on the “accent” ring finger. To do this, use toothpicks and red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple polish to paint a thin rainbow starting from the top left corner of the nail and ending at the bottom center of the nail. Let dry then dip a toothpick in black polish and draw the outline of a little pot at the end of the “rainbow." Fill in the pot using the black polish’s brush. Finally, dip a toothpick in shimmery gold polish and paint little polka dot “gold coins” at the top of the black pot. Voila! A fun little pot o’ gold accent nail mani that is sure to impress!
